Our organization consists of a variety of competencies, where each employee plays a crucial role in maintaining legal security and high quality at all levels.

The Halmstad District Court handles criminal cases, civil cases, matters, and bankruptcies. Together, we are about 40 employees distributed across four units: the judge unit, the preparation unit, the case unit, and the administrative unit. We are located in premises in central Halmstad with a view over the Nissan river.

We are now looking for one or more security guards. The position is full-time, with one position starting on 2026-05-01 or as soon as possible, and another starting on 2026-11-01 or as agreed. You will be part of a team of five security guards led by a coordinator. You belong to the administrative unit, and the administrative preparation lawyer is your immediate supervisor.

As a security guard, you are at the core of the security work and work to create safety in the court's premises for both visitors and employees. You are the court's face to the public and are the first point of contact for visitors. We offer varied and developing tasks in a socially important operation. In your work as a security guard, you will be involved in security checks and reception work, as well as monitoring public areas and during hearings. Your role includes providing support regarding the technology in our hearing rooms, calling jurors, and various administrative tasks. The position is a combined role; part of the time you will work as a security guard, but the majority of the time will consist of administrative tasks.

The most important task is to work together with colleagues in the group to provide very good internal and external service while maintaining a high level of security.

You will work Monday to Friday during the day. Some overtime and evening work may occur. Any secondary employment must be approved by the chief judge.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• completed and approved high school education
• valid security guard license
• authorization to work in security checks
• basic knowledge and experience of general security work
• pronounced sense of service in collaboration with a very good attitude
• normal color vision since work with x-ray equipment requires it
• good computer skills and basic technical competence
• ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and verbally in English

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working as a security guard at a court with good references
• work experience in security as an x-ray operator
• interest in IT and technical issues
• previous experience in proactive security work, other relevant training in security, or previous experience in service work
• work experience in administration

Testing and problem-solving may be included as a selection method in the recruitment process.
